My story...    (c) all rights reserved, WHAM

In the conceptual art folder I tell something about my vision of humanity and the world. In short, my life motto is: respect everything.
some insight into my art
..................................

I have a soft spot for reflections in water surfaces and these form the main part of this website in the digital art section. I edit the reflections on the computer to show the eternal dance of nature. In addition to reflections, I also take nature photos which can be seen in the study section. This section is particularly interesting if you want to gain insight into my creative process. ..............................................................

Earlier work from the 80s and 90s can be seen in the earlier works folder. Here you can clearly see that I was already working with water at an early stage but also used many other techniques such as sculptures and paintings.
.................................................................................................

After my studies in Delft, I was a participant in the Vrije Academie, Pschyopolis at the end of the 80s and learned a lot there. Because I realized that I could not make a living from my art so easily, I started as a teacher of information science and had a good career of 35 years. After my retirement, I went public with my art. Something I was only doing for myself in my spare time before.
more about my background.

In addition to being an artist, I am also a mystic and have walked many paths because I often found only half answers and then went looking for something better. As a mystic, I have a good insight into human nature and some of my works are about those insights. For some topics I am still searching, which is why you can find those in the study section and once matured they move to the conceptual folder.

Finally, something about the tools I use and my vision on the use of tools.

Below are two of my works. "Impression I and "self-portrait with painting" from 2023.
For the self-portrait I owe gratitude to the Mauritshuis, they took care of the technical side and made it available to anyone who wanted to make a special selfie.

You may think that my artwork "nearly black" has a deep, profound meaning. But it is what it is: Just an image of a black rectangle that fits most modern monitors.
